Adjunct Faculty, Physics and Astronomy, University of Nebraska‑Lincoln
I am Dr. Prithish Halder, an astrophysicist with a strong background in cosmic dust modeling, light scattering theory, and solar magnetic topology.
My academic journey includes postdoctoral fellowships at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) and Physical Research Laboratory (PRL). I earned my PhD from Assam University, India, focusing on the optical properties of cosmic dust aggregates.
My multidisciplinary research interests span dust in astrophysics, solar flares and energetic particles, aerosols and airborne microplastics, and plasmonics in nanoscience. I was recently awarded the Seal of Excellence by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions in 2025.
